P90 MSI NUMBER

Identifies the MSI to be balanced by advancing through parameters P91 through P95.

This parameter may only be accessed when Sensor Type (P21) is set to a value greater than 1.

Prior to initial calibration or following an MSI (dual load cell belt scale) load cell replacement, the load cell

balancing procedure should be performed. When the load cell signals are balanced, variations in lateral

material load distribution on the belt have less effect on measurements.

When the load cell balancing procedure is initiated, P91 through P95 must be accessed in sequence. Direct

access to these parameters is not permitted.

The balancing procedure must be repeated for each MSI of an MMI (multiple MSI) belt scale application. For

MMI applications, MSI’s are numbered sequentially from 1 to a maximum of 4, starting from the MSI nearest

the tail pulley and advancing toward the head pulley of the conveyor

When the load cell balancing procedure is completed (for all MSI’s of an MMI application), perform a Zero and

Span calibration before entering the RUN mode.

2 = MSI # 2, advance to P91

3 = MSI # 3, (LCPA-08 required)

4 = MSI # 4, (LCPA-08 required)

Displays the summed load cell input counts for:

MSI NUMBER (P90) LOAD CELLS

1 A and B

2 C and D

3 E and F

4 G and H

With the belt stopped and completely empty, place the Test Weight on the test weight bar, near load cell:

B (P90 = 1), D (P90 = 2), F (P90 = 3), or H (P90 = 4).

For LCPA-08 applications, close both LCPA-08 SW3 load cell contacts for

the MSI # being balanced, open all other SW3 contacts.

enter : the displayed value (when stable) to advance to P92.

P92 POS B L/C (B) (V)

Displays the load cell input counts for load cell: B (P90 = 1), D (P90 = 2), F (P90 = 3), or H (P90 = 4).

For LCPA-08 applications, open the LCPA-08 SW3 contact for load cell:

A (P90 = 1), C (P90 = 2), E (P90 = 3), or G (P90 = 4) contact.

Ensure the Test Weight (as applied for P91) is not moved or otherwise disturbed.

enter : the displayed value and advance to P93.
